St. Louis University Museum of Art

The St. Louis University Museum of Art is one of six museums that the University operates. The museum has several galleries that exhibits art from the University's permanent collections, as well as visiting collections. One of the permanent art collections is the Collection of the Western Jesuit Missions. The art fills the entire third floor of the museum and portrays Jesuit and Catholic life as well as the frontier experience of Jesuit missionaries from several centuries, continents and creeds. The museum's permanent collection includes artists such as Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, Jasper Johns, Kiki Smith, Robert Motherwell, Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein, and a collection of Dale Chihuly glass.

The St. Louis University Museum of Art is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11am- 4pm. It is closed on national holidays and some special events at the museum will affect the hours, as well (check website or call for current hours). Admission to the museum is free.
